winter wonderland coming soon.

I know, I know....it's been too long. I've been away due to some nutty, 'computer men,' fixing my computer for weeks. They take all the money out of my wallet and 40gb of music on my Mac. My Macs reborn, yes, but much is missing from her. On another note, it's December. And who's antsy and excited for break? That's me, Jo. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving break with my family and was very fortunate they got to come and visit. I was glad Savannah got to come and share our family meal and see how loony my family really is. My mom treated me to shopping on Black Friday. Yes, I went out in the madness. It was well worth it; I got a good inside look on some Christmas gifts. After all that though, I'm now just counting down the seconds till my flight home. As for this week goes, I'm going mad trying to get my Architecture final presentation, Wheelie Jo's, together for next week. Its a Cafe/Bike Shop (not by choice) and is coming together well, I believe. Tomorrow I'm venturing off to just about everywhere to find some well priced Christmas gifts. Maine first, then Portsmouth. With work and studies, I should keep busy this weekend. As for new photos to contribute to my blog, I have many to share. But for Thanksgiving and family photos, I don't have much due to my Aunt taking most all of them. This will have to do for now. Here is one of the family over at the Blossoms Tree Lighting party. The next is of Uncle Mike and the Turkey. I will post a separate post that shows photos of the nick-nacks I got at Cobblestone, along with a few others. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and is getting ready for Christmas. I have my Adventskalendar here and in the making. Adios all, JO

Monday

Gobble, Gobble.

Its the Monday before Thanksgiving and oh how excited I am. I imagine you are as well, huh? This holiday is one of my favorites because it's all about getting together and eating. What more could you want? I am anxiously awaiting my families arrival and was lucky enough to get work off to spend time with them. I plan to show them around campus a little and take them to Me&Ollies for a good overview of how my life has been up here. Hopefully Lottie can come on all these adventures. I discovered some new movies this weekend, hence my photos. The first one is a Hitchcock movie, Vertigo, that I just fell in love with. The second is of the couple in a Tarantino film titled, True Romance. It was good, of course, but not one that I must watch again. With that all stated, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and eat your little hearts out. I know Lottie and I will be. Cranberry Salad awaits!! Later, JO.

one shot or two?

Good morning, to all! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and are ready for a good start to the week this morning. A majority of my weekend was spent at Me & Ollies in Portsmouth, serving the customers and gabbing with my co-workers. Wish you all could have ordered from our Holiday list! Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie for my family! Although I didn't take any photos of my own, I found some online. Its a shame our store doesn't have that poster of a cowboy up anymore. :) The other photo is one of downtown Portsmouth I found that was shot at Christmas time. Oh, how I can't wait to see that season here. That shot of downtown was actually where I was standing to watch the Halloween parade. Not much new, other than I am looking forward to the holidays and seeing the family next week (Lottie Mae included). Have a good week and keep it real. love, JO

Sunday

in rain or shine....love.

Hey all. Just got home for a day at Me & Ollies and now I am off to a night of studying. Its been a nice weekend here in New Hampshire, but I don't have that much to share with you. I went to the UNH Hockey game on Friday and got my school spirit on. Other than that, I've just been modeling and studying for tests all weekend long. Although it sounds weird to say, I am looking forward to my busy week. I am scheduled to job shadow a Graphic Designer at St.Pauls this week and am really excited. I am looking forward to seeing was this woman does daily and what all the job entails. For photos today, I don't have much. I found this inspiration quote on a blog while stumbling and liked it. Also a picture of my new shoes that I can't wait to sport this week!! I went on a limb last week and trucked up to Maine to the Aldo outlet. They were a deal, nothing better. Hope everyones week goes well.
Love, JO

And I live while I'm young!!!

Hey there. Did you have a spooky one? There is nothing better than spending Halloween in New England. These people celebrate like the worlds coming to an end or something. I thought it was great. Friday I trucked over to Salem, Mass. to see what all the fuss was about. With all the museums, festive vendors, and wacky town people, it was well worth the trip. I would have to say though, the Portsmouth Parade on Saturday night, was right up there with Salem. I have never seen anything like that parade. It had an endless amount of over the top costumes ranging from witches on stilts, a cult of zombies, all the way to a huge kickass octopus. My bird costume turned out to be better than I expected. My face makeup and headband added to it well. I landed a new job at Me & Ollies Bakery in Portsmouth. I am beyond happy about it. The atmosphere is wonderful and my co-workers are the boom. I get to drink ice tea all day. Oh, how I've missed my tea. :) I hope everyone had a happy Halloween. It's one of those times where you can be whoever you want to be. I think it's safe to say I'll be taken my costume to whatever festival I make it to next year. And I've already been wiping up ideas for next year. Have a good and refreshing week. Love, jo

If only I could fly...

It's becoming a ritual to post on Sundays and I'm sort of liking it. This weekend I was busy with my model for architecture and finishing my bird costume. I got a good start on my model and finished my presentation board. Photos of them are posted. It's quite insane that I am not even near the finish mark with my model, just contours for now. I did accomplish getting my bird costume done and I am more than excited for my flight to Salem, Mass. this weekend. Halloween better bring me some spooky memories. I feel accomplished with all I've done this weekend and I am ready to take on the week. I entered a contest for some Monster of Folk tickets and party passes, so you better wish me luck. Come on Bostons independent radio!! I hope you all are enjoying yourselves. Being my friends, you all better have the most well thought out costumes. Lottie will be sporting her hot dog this weekend, along with her friends Mimi and Tuffy. Have a good week all. Love, Jo
